The author is Parth Joshi, a student at CCNY taking the Writing for the Sciences class. Parth is a Biotechnology Major on a pre-med track and wants to better his writing skills for research papers and reviews once he starts to get into research.

As he shows the different papers he has written through the semester, you can visibly see the improvement he has made in further revisions and later papers. Over that, the feedback he has got from his professor also highlight how he has grown throughout the journey and has been on a path to better his writing such that one day his writing will be published and eventually achieve great strides. As the papers pass through, it can be seen that Parth has started to achieve the course goals step by step and is always looking for feedback so he can understand what his audience expects from him.
